Reduce the Stigma!
Stigma continues to disrupt youth and their willingness to discuss their mental health and seek out help. So what can WE do to break down the stigma?
1. Recognize your own experiences with mental health
2. Research and educate yourself on mental health (guess what! you are already doing that!)

3. Start with yourself! Work towards actively removing any lingering stigmas you may have about mental health
4. Talk about mental health with others, and be conscious of the language you choose to use during those conversations
5. Don't shame others for their mental health experiences, but rather listen, validate, and empower them

6. Use your power to point out when social media, tv, radio, or other forms of media are stigmatizing mental health
Remember: There are multiple ways to aid in reducing stigma, choose the options that work best for you and that YOU feel comfortable with!
